Music Guidelines
1. Review time chart for maximum time

2. Choose Music with character....places for expression, pop-ups, lifts, etc. Avoid music with groove only. Choose a theme and find music to support that theme. Brainstorm.
3. Questions to ask when selecting music:
4. Music ideas need to be streamlined. Think through the cuts and have them marked with an idea of order. Submit music and time cuts for review. You may want to make a rough version on tape
5. To have your music edited, submit the cd(s) and a time sheet in order...example:
Remember – just because you may choose not to use some music, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a good suggestion for someone else. T-E-A-M

- Does the music fit your ability & personality?
- How will you be able to show expression?
- How many different expressions are within the piece?
- Is it a tempo I can execute?
